Changes to Bromsgrove Villa Lions membership (update: 06/06/20)

Due to the uncertainty of when we will next be able to attend a top-flight football match and other issues created by the COVID-19 virus, we have decided not to implement an annual membership subscription from next season, 2020-2021.

What do I need to do now?

Firstly, there are no new payments required. If you signed up at the discounted rate post-January 2020, you have a bargain!

Current members: the only thing you need to do is let us know if you have changed your mobile phone number, moved house or have a new email address. Do not sign-up via our website for the 2020-2021 Standard Membership Plan. Your subscription from the 2019-2020 season is carried across this year free of charge.

The membership fee has reverted to £7 for new members signing up - covering the remainder of this season and next season too.

Plans for the 2021-2022 season

As we previously communicated back in November 2019, the "Lifetime Membership" model is unsustainable indefinitely.

From March 2021 and all being well, members will be able to sign into our website and purchase their new Full Membership package securely online for the 2021-2022 new season. The annual subscription cost is likely to be between £7 and £10 per person. We are also considering family membership packages.

Costs

The Bromsgrove Villa Lions are at the cutting-edge and are continuously improving our systems, including behind the scenes. For instance: we use professional external services for text messaging and email marketing. As the Club grows, so do these costs.

Many more costs are incurred throughout the season that are often overlooked, including matchday carrier/rubbish bags and parking fees.

Text message service

Annually we update our text message lists to include only those supporters who specifically request to receive free text notifications from us. We will work on this mini project in the coming weeks.
